DAY 1: CAIRO / LUXOR (Sightseeing)

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo by modern air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor where you will be accompanied by your own Egyptologist guide to visit the famous Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred place”. The temple, or more correctly, the temple complex, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “hypostyle hall” is an incredible forest of gigantic pillars.

On the way you will enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant and then you will be accompanied by your tour guide to visit the majestic Luxor temple built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for the rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amun, then visit the West Bank of the Nile River you will visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), and then visit the Valley of the Kings where they discovered the magnificent tombs, those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and full of treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs

Continue the tour to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and blends into the limestone cliffs that surround it. Proceed to have lunch at the local restaurant, then you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor.

DAY 2: LUXOR SIGHTSEEING TOURS / CAIRO

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to discover the ancient sites. First, drive 80KM to Dendera to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dendera which is north of Luxor, then move to the mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu. A structure from the Kingdom period on the west bank of Luxor in Egypt. Apart from its size, architecture and artistic significance, the temple is probably best known as the source of inscribed reliefs depicting during the region of Ramsses III.

After that flight back to Cairo airport, we will return to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

CAIRO IN FULL

Our first stop will be the Citadel of Saladin, a huge medieval fortress that has become the best-known non-Pharaonic monument in Cairo. Inside the fortress we will enter the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque due to the material that covers it. Its ornate decoration is spectacular.

Leaving the fortress behind we will head to the Khan el-Khalili market (Khan El-Khalili), the most famous market in Cairo. Walking through its labyrinthine streets is like visiting an authentic open-air museum. Khan el-Khalili is perfect for buying souvenirs and reproductions of Ancient Egyptian objects.

After the market we will stop for an optional meal at a high-class restaurant.

In the afternoon we will dedicate ourselves to discovering the Egyptian Museum, the most important not only in the country, but in the entire world. Here are the masterpieces of the pharaonic era, its greatest exponent being the treasure of Tutankhamun.

We will tour the Coptic Neighborhood, one of the most unique in the city. Here, we will visit Al-Muallaqa, better known as the Hanging Church, because it was built on top of the ruins of the Tower of Babylon. Nearby, we will see the Ben Ezra Synagogue, located on the site where it is believed that baby Moses was found. In addition, we will go to the Church of San Sergio, known as the Cave Church, where the Holy Family was hidden during their flight to Egypt. The day ends with your return to your hotel.
