On this excursion we will visit the amazing temples of Abu Simbel, the only monuments in Egypt that can compete in grandeur with the three great pyramids of Giza.

The tour departs from Aswan in the middle of the night, around 4:00 in the morning. We will pick you up from the hotel or boat where you are staying. We left so early to arrive at the temples first thing in the morning and avoid the stifling heat of midday. Along the way you can enjoy something unique, such as the sunrise in the desert.
After about 3 hours of travel we will arrive at Abu Simbel, the very famous complex made up of two temples excavated in the rock, one dedicated to Ramses II and the other to Nefertari, his first wife and his favorite. The construction took about 20 years to build and was done under the reign of Ramses II. The state of conservation of the temples is excellent, since they were buried under the sand until the 19th century.
Our guided tour will last 2 hours, enough time to discover every corner of both temples and learn all their stories and anecdotes, such as why they are preserved in impeccable condition, how they were moved, and what Egypt did in exchange for the international aid.
After enjoying this gem we will return to Aswan, arriving shortly after noon.
An advice
Since the tour leaves very early, we recommend that, as a substitute for breakfast, you ask for a picnic bag at the hotel or boat where you are staying the night before.
