We start from your hotel, we will begin our tour with our local expert who speaks English to see the cultural capital of the United Arab Emirates. Also Sharjah was the cultural capital of the Arab world in 1998 and 2008, therefore we will notice in all the government buildings and mosques in Sharjah that it has an ancient Arabic style and character in a very modern way. Where we will begin our visit leaving Dubai arriving in Sharjah in 20 minutes.
We started at the Sharjah Culture Square (the Monumental Rotunda). To see the culture square, some buildings have very old Arab palace styles with very modern work that belong to the Sharjah government. In the same square we also took a photo of the Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal Mosque, a mosque with architecture in the Islamic Arab style called Arabesque. We then headed to the heart of Sharjah where we admired the Sharjah Corniche, and we saw the Natural Gas Camps. And we visited the Sharjah Arab Islamic Civilization Museum where we discovered the secrets of Arab life.
Afterwards we visit the Al Arsah souk, which was used in ancient times to sell pearls and we get an idea of how people lived in the past. We stop for a photo of the pearl monument with the Faisal Mosque. The tour ends at the Central Souk, also famous for the Gold Souk or the Blue Souk because it sells a lot of gold and typical gifts from Sharjah and has very good architecture with blue on its roof. If you are looking for souvenirs, you will find a large selection of carpets, antiques and curious objects that will surely satisfy even the most demanding buyer. Return to Dubai.
